Hi! My name is Erika and I’m a professional model working with artists and teachers in the fields of fine art and fashion illustration for groups, individuals, schools, businesses and promotions. I got my start working in the showrooms of Parisian designers such as Loris Azzarro, Dior, YSL, Madame Grès in the late 1980’s to early 90’s and occasionally walking the catwalk. It was while living in Paris that I got « recruited » to work with painters and sculptors due to the good natured trickery of Parsons instructor Caroline B who gave my contact information to a bevy of local artists! Funny but true. Upon my return to the States in 1996, I crisscrossed back and forth between working with students of the fine arts, fashion schools and shapewear designers such as Maidenform and a short lived stint for BabyPhat swimwear in NYC. The Art Students League, Pratt, The New School, F.I.T., Salmagundi, Society of Illustrators, National Academy of Design, The New York Studio School are just some of the places I’ve had the privilege of working. The relationship between model and visual artist is one of mutual inspiration and creativity. Long live the arts!
